High School Projects

High School projects

The ReSAKSS challenge is an Africa-wide -diaspora included- competition targeting researchers, students, creative designers, developers and analysts, and anyone passionate about data. The competition will enable you to experiment, discover new tools, and create a community of practice working data in the most innovative way.

To stimulate innovative use of data on African economies and create knowledge tools that contribute to addressing matters of strategic importance to Africa, ReSAKSS Data Challenge participants are encouraged to take part in the High School Projects category.

Description

For this High School Projects category, participants are asked to use their imagination to create engaging projects. More precisely, participants are required to showcase their creativity and analytical skills using data and other resources on the ReSAKSSeAtlas, and AAgWa websites to develop a project that addresses a development challenge faced by Africa.

Rules

→Explore the data (ReSAKSSeAtlas, and AAgWa)

→ Choose the data you need*

→ Create a High School Project of your choice that addresses a development challenge for Africa

→ Submit your work and methodology before the end of the contest deadline.

*ReSAKSS data has to be used but can be combined with other data. Each candidate will be asked to list all data used and to provide a description of his/her project in a methodology document to be submitted alongside his/her project.
